New to Recovery Coaching or Peer Work? - CARC Required Trainings

For the best learning experience, we strongly encourage participants start their journey by taking Recovery Coach Academy, followed by Ethical Considerations. There is an application process and criteria for acceptance to attend the RCA. Applicants will be accepted based on satisfaction of these criteria as seats are available, and then provided a registration link.

Recovery Coach Academy (CCAR)

The Recovery Coach Academy is a 5-day intensive training course that provides individuals with the skills needed to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs. This training is a fundamental component of providing quality, evidence-based peer recovery support designed for those interested in becoming Recovery Coaches, Peer Workers and those providing or overseeing recovery support services

Need to get Recertified? - CARC Recertification Trainings

Ethics for Recovery Coaches and Multiple Pathways are required for recertification. Additionally, 18 continuing education hours need to be completed. The Recovery Education Collaborative provides the following trainings to meet those hours: Addictions 101, All Things Recovery, Equity Diversity & Inclusion, Medication Supported Recovery, Mental Wellness, and Motivational Interviewing, Self Care, and Supervision.
